Future Muscle  :  DeltaWing – Race Car Revolution
April 22, 2015

Hi, it’s time for something new for the future….. DeltaWing

Here’s a little story  ;

·        DeltaWing concept was by Ben Bowlby, an Brit worked for American Race Car Tycoon.
·        It was meant for racing, either in Champ Cars ( Indianapolis type ) or.. later on ….. Le Mans

·        New Approach in FUTURE race cars… Light, Quick and Efficient !
·        Built by Dan Gurney All American Racers Team

·        Engined by NISSAN, DIG-T 1.6 Turbo / Later in 2013 by 2.0 Mazda MZR
·        Chassis by Aston Martin, 120.8 inch wheel base

·        Weight 475 kgs. ( Half of Normal Race Car )  / 5 Speed Sequential
·        Managed by Don Panoz – USA

Don Panoz of Panoz Racing who eventually owned the product let Ben Bowlby goes.

The guys later on went to work for Nissan as Director Of MotorSport Innovation. He went on to design Nissan Blade Glider, an electric car.

Panoz then proceed to sue Nissan of design infringement and saying that he’s invested millions of dollars proving the concept and would like to license the idea to automakers to use on production cars.

You know that is BULL, a big one !

… and the court FIGHT still on… I just wonder !

PANOZ Race Team… Long Beach… not very successful due to mechanical…
( that can’t stand the prolong usage vs. higher capacity-engined / tougher-engined cars… but the light & efficient factors are good )

Another race under PANOZ… still searching for their first WIN !

At Sebring circuit – Florida …..

While PANOZ still campaigning for their 1st win, Ben Bowlby + Nissan came up with electric car with amazing concept…

The BLADE GLIDER

The court game between PANOZ vs. Nissan still goes on… and LIFE is BEAUTIFUL !

Cheers,
